Main Purpose of the Role:

The Assistant Treasurer, Europe & Asia is a key member of the BGC Group's financial team, responsible for supporting the company's Treasury needs in Europe and Asia. This role reports to the Treasurer, Europe & Asia and is a critical part of the company's financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the company's financial strategy, including liquidity management and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with the financial team to identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company's financial stability and growth.

Cash and Liquidity Management:

  • Manage the company's cash and liquidity positions, ensuring adequate funding and liquidity to meet business needs.
  • Monitor and maintain the company's liquidity risk appetite, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to the financial team and senior management.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.

Financial Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess financial risks, developing strategies to mitigate and manage these risks.
  • Collaborate with the financial team to implement risk management policies and procedures.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Communicate financial information and insights to senior management, the financial team, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment and effective financial decision-making.

Professional Development:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in financial management.
