**Promote Student Well-being and Academic Success**
We are seeking an experienced Educational Psychologist to join our team at Bitterne Park School, where we provide a supportive environment for students to thrive.
As an Educational Psychologist, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and students to identify and address the psychological challenges students face, enhancing their educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to understand students' educational and psychological needs, providing tailored recommendations for support.
- Support our specialist Autism Resource Base and other internal provisions, promoting a inclusive learning environment.
- Offer expert advice and consultation to staff on appropriate interventions and strategies for individual students.
- Collaborate with families to provide guidance and support on educational and psychological matters.
- Deliver training sessions for school staff on psychological issues, teaching strategies, and emotional well-being.
- Work with external agencies and services to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and support plans.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of child development, educational psychology, and behavior management, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Requirements:
- Qualified Educational Psychologist, holding a recognised qualification in Educational Psychology.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working in educational settings, preferably in a school environment.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement intervention plans.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
