About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in our well-established male forensic services, providing medium and low secure care for service users. As a Forensic Psychology Specialist, you will have the chance to support the planning and development of service improvements, attend reflective practice sessions, and maintain highest standards of clinical governance.

You will be working closely with qualified members of staff to provide high-quality care and support to service users. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Holding a caseload of clinical work, including conducting individual and group psychological interventions and developing formulations.
  • Undertaking collaborative risk assessments and management for individual patients.
  • Assisting with audits and research projects where required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A BPS accredited recognised Masters degree in Psychology conferring Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR).
  • Previous experience within clinical and/or forensic settings.
  • Clear professional goals for development.

Elysium Healthcare offers specialist assessment and treatment for service users who have been detained under the Mental Health Act (1983, amended 2007) and have a history of offending behaviour. Our services include medium and low secure care, acute services, and locked rehabilitation intensive Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) services.
