Specialised Tutor for Children with Autism

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate tutor to provide one-to-one support to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a home setting or within the local community.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ASD, including sensory processing, communication, and social interaction challenges. They will be able to plan and deliver engaging, personalised tutoring sessions tailored to the specific needs and learning styles of each individual.
The tutor will work closely with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to support the child's educational and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering tutoring sessions that cater to the child's unique needs and learning style
- Providing face-to-face support in the child's home and within the local community
- Managing challenging behaviour by implementing effective behavioural interventions and strategies
- Collaborating with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to support
Requirements:
- SEN experience (as teaching assistant, one-to-one, or any other)
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, nurturing, and sensory sessions
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders, including an understanding of sensory processing, communication, and social interaction challenges
- Experience in raising pupils' confidence and learning
