**The Team**
The Family Help and Support Team is a strong-performing team that focuses on achieving the best outcomes for the families, children, and young people they work with. As a Senior Practice Lead, you will have the opportunity to join a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of local families.
**Key Responsibilities**
The Senior Practice Lead will oversee the work of the Family Intervention Workers, who play a critical role in assessing the needs of children aged 0-18 and their families with complex and multiple needs. The team delivers a package of interventions using the Team Around the Family process, which is unique in its approach to achieving sustained outcomes for families.
**Advocacy and Support**
The Senior Practice Lead will ensure that Family Intervention Workers play a lead role in advocating for families, signposting them to effective support, and empowering them to make informed decisions about their futures. This will involve working closely with other agencies and partners to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting families.
**Trauma-Informed Approaches**
The Early Help and Support thematic is underpinned by trauma-informed approaches that are responsive to need and have an inclusive and partnership focus. As a Senior Practice Lead, you will be expected to work in a way that is sensitive to the needs of families who have experienced trauma.
