Land Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Land Director to lead our Eastern regional Land Team based in our St Albans office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for acquiring land and ensuring site selection is in accordance with our defined criteria.
Key Responsibilities- Acquire land for residential developments, maintaining budgetary control over all aspects of the Land Department's operations.
- Approve additional costs on land projects and agree exceptions to project budgets to maintain profit margins.
- Lead a team of Land Buyers, responsible for their career development, setting and meeting their targets, and conducting necessary training and one-to-ones.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Regional Managing Director, Main Board, Solicitors, Local Authorities, Estate Agents, and Surveyors.
- Travel extensively within the region, requiring a valid UK Driver's License.
You will have a proven track record in land purchase, with advanced negotiation skills, tact, and the ability to influence others. You will have clear, professional communication skills and confidence to present in meetings. A sector-associated qualification, such as an RICS or MRTPI qualification, would be desirable.
