M&E Contracting Specialist

Established as a leading M&E Contractor in the North East, our client seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to handle multiple projects across the North East, Yorkshire, and North West. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing tender allowances, measuring and valuing works, preparing valuations, administering Main Contract and Subcontract conditions, and managing financial reporting.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Analysis of tender allowances
- The measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Agreement, preparation and submission of valuation dates and interim valuations in accordance with those dates
- Administering and/or advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions
- Subcontract and Design Procurement
- Subcontract payments, variations, and final accounts
- Submission of Cost Value Reconciliations
- Preparation of cost to complete
Financial Reporting:
- Cash management and maximisation
- Cash Flow and Turnover forecast
- Provision of standard reports
- Internal Valuations/CVRs and subcontract liability reports in accordance with schedule of accounting period end dates and deadlines
Requirements:
We are looking for a degree-qualified and RICS or IOB member who has experience working within the Construction industry, specifically on Design and Build; as well as sound knowledge of JCT and NEC Conditions of Contract. You will be able to work independently as well as within a team.
