The University of Cambridge seeks a highly skilled Assistant Lecturer in Building Design to join its dedicated team of academics.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to contribute to the Department of Architecture's mission in sustainable structures and design education.

About the Role

The appointed candidate will be responsible for teaching core curriculum in both the Architecture and MDes Tripos, as well as contributing to curriculum development and supervising postgraduate work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach studio classes on design as a subject to architects and engineers.
  • Assist in the supervision and examination of MPhil and PhD students.
  • Participate in curriculum development and FHEA accreditation efforts.
Requirements

Candidates should hold a doctoral degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field, along with relevant teaching experience and FHEA accreditation. A strong background in building structures and structural design in architecture or engineering is essential.Salary

The University of Cambridge offers a competitive salary range of £50,000 - £75,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, health insurance, and annual leave.
