About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Search Engine Optimization Manager to lead our SEO strategy. As a key member of our marketing team, you'll develop and execute a comprehensive SEO approach across technical and content, helping us drive significant revenue, traffic, and rankings gains.

This exciting role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Performance, Comms, Brand Marketing, Creative, Product, Data Analytics, and Engineering. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive SEO & content strategy to boost revenue, traffic, and rankings.
  2. Conduct thorough competitor analysis to identify opportunities and optimise our SEO strategy.
  3. Own the ranking position & organic traffic for your vertical, monitoring positions and implementing action plans to mitigate drops or capitalise on updates.
  4. Collaborate with Product & Engineering to improve & implement SEO page templates, planning scalable content production strategies.
  5. Stay up-to-date with Google updates and algorithm changes, updating SEO guides and initiatives accordingly.
  6. Continuously test and iterate on landing page templates, modules, and content to enhance user experience performance (e.g., increasing engagement and conversion rates).
  7. Monitor the traffic and revenue performance of content through monthly audits.
  8. Analyse data around ranking, visibility, traffic, and conversions to proactively identify trends and improve growth opportunities.
  9. Manage and maintain processes, including internal linking and tech / product-led SEO, in partnership with Product and engineering.
  10. Help create SEO content plans for key marketing campaigns and seasonal moments.
  11. Support internal link-building strategy for content.
  12. Work closely with Product, Engineering & Analytics teams to ensure optimal results for key projects.
  13. Manage a team consisting of an SEO executive and freelancers.
  14. Be accountable for projects, tracking, monitoring, and reporting progress and results.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience in SEO with a solid understanding of best practices for on-page, off-page (link building and other ranking signals), and all on-site technical aspects.
  2. Experience driving innovative approaches and initiatives in SEO strategies and tactics.
  3. Target-oriented and experienced in driving performance improvements.
  4. Familiarity with relevant SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.).
  5. Understanding of modern front-end markup, schema, and coding best practice for SEO (e.g., across HTML, Javascript, and CSS) and other factors impacting site quality metrics.
  6. Effective project management and experience working with multiple stakeholders to deliver strategy.
  7. Technical SEO expertise, especially within an agile team environment.
  8. Strong experience working with internal and external content teams and conducting content gap analysis to create SEO-optimised briefs.
  9. Good knowledge of the latest SEO developments, AI usage in SEO, and algorithmic changes.
  10. Ability to work optimally on multiple projects simultaneously.
  11. Passion for Digital Marketing.

Estimated Salary Range: £62,500 - £82,500 per annum, depending on experience.
