About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Public Health team's tobacco dependency treatment service. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering the ambitions of the NHS Long Term plan to provide treatment for tobacco dependency for all patients admitted to hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Emergency Department and inpatient wards at NSECH, with the possibility of travel to other hospital sites. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of key performance and reporting indicators for tobacco dependency, as well as supporting individuals to make informed choices about their health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of key performance and reporting indicators for tobacco dependency.
  • Support individuals to make informed choices about their health and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with our Emergency Department and inpatient wards at NSECH.

Person Specification

  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
  • Certificate/Professional qualification in a related area.
  • Level 2 smoking cessation training (or willingness to complete).
  • Motivational behaviour training (or willingness to complete).

Contract Details

  • Fixed term contract.
  • 6 month duration.
