About the Role:


We are seeking a reliable and caring Housekeeper to join our team at Elderwood in Darlington. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring that the location is clean, pleasant, and safe for our residents.



Main Responsibilities:



  • Ensure that cleaning products are used effectively, following instructions and health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Report to the Location Manager and contribute to a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Support the care and well-being of residents by maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Develop a positive and respectful relationship with residents, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the team by being flexible and adaptable.
  • Ensure effective communication and teamwork within the team.


Requirements:



  • Customer service NVQ2 would be advantageous.
  • Previous cleaning experience and knowledge is desirable.
  • Use of cleaning products in a safe manner.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, including the use of equipment.
  • Understanding of data protection and confidentiality and the safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
  • Health and safety in the workplace, including COSHH.
  • Well-organized with good time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and empathy skills and a friendly personality.
  • Able to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan around customer needs.
