About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our Lifetime Planning Team in Cambridge. As a key member of the team, you will support fee-earners in delivering exceptional client service, ensuring clients' wishes are respected and their families protected.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with clients on behalf of lawyers, addressing queries and taking instructions as required.
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence, working collaboratively with team members.
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative aspects of matters, coordinating with lawyers and support teams to produce invoices, letters, and documents.
  • Maintain direct contact with clients and third parties, including meetings, phone calls, and email responses.
  • Attend client meetings to provide support and ensure accurate records are kept.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A willingness to learn and develop, combined with excellent social skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Prior experience in Lifetime Planning (Wills, Trusts, and Probate) is highly desirable.
  • At least three years' experience in a similar Paralegal role.
  • An excellent academic record and strong team-playing skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and empathetically.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a meticulous approach to work.
  • Courteous and efficient telephone manner, with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptable approach, willing to learn new skills and demonstrate commitment to your work and team.

This is an office-based position with flexible working options available for discussion during the interview process.

Estimated salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
