About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Hairdressing and Barbering Teacher to join our team at Activate Learning. As a Hairdressing and Barbering Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the hairdressing and barbering industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students, incorporating industry-standard equipment and techniques.
- Develop and implement curriculum plans, ensuring they meet the needs of our students and the requirements of the hairdressing and barbering industry.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback, supporting students to achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver vocational hairdressing courses, ensuring they are relevant and effective in preparing students for the world of work.
- Participate in curriculum development, ensuring our courses meet the changing needs of the hairdressing and barbering industry.
Requirements:
- Level 3 or above qualification in Hairdressing is essential.
- Experience as a hairdresser/barber/hair stylist is essential.
- Desirable to have a teaching qualification and experience working within education as a teacher.
