About the Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Teaching Support Specialist to join its permanent staff team. The successful candidate will provide support to pupils with special educational needs, promoting their learning and development in both group and one-to-one settings.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Relevant experience in education or childcare is desirable but not essential.

This role offers opportunities for professional development and career progression, as well as the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils.

Responsibilities

  • Support the learning and development of pupils with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and classroom activities.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress to inform teaching strategies and interventions.

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo the process).
  • Relevant experience in education or childcare.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
