About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Field Team Manager to lead and energise the Quick Service Restaurant and Retail field teams within Intertek. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading audit teams and understanding auditing best practice, driving improvements, implementing and maintaining processes and continual improvement of a range of audit schemes with leading global clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the day-to-day line management of the QSR/Retail auditing team, Team Leaders and Lead Auditors and maintain the team's performance, ensure queries from team are answered within a reasonable period, and all audits are conducted as per client KPI's on time to a high standard of execution and calibration.
  • Maintain communication with client-facing teams (KAM, scheduling) and QSR/Retail Auditors.
  • Attend weekly/biweekly individual UK/IRE account meeting with client-facing teams when required.
  • Analyse individual auditor performance with client-facing teams where required to ensure client KPI's are met, maintained and exceeded.
  • Investigate, and document thoroughly any complaints for any QSR/Retail Auditors.
  • Ensure frequency meaningful, documented 121's are held with QSR/Retail Auditors where required, and Team Leaders and Lead Auditors as direct reports.
  • Ensure the Intertek 10X journey is in place for all QSR/Retail Auditors, Team Leaders and Lead Auditors aligning key annual milestones.
  • Ensure that all expenses, and auditing times submitted are accurate, approved and signed off as required in the appropriate Intertek systems.
  • Ensure that utilisation for each auditor understood, documented and maximised.
  • Support all QSR/Retail Auditors recruitment aligned with the senior business line leaders and Intertek HR.
  • Cover any team absence when required, with team leaders, or lead auditors.
  • Collate, document and conduct any training on H&S, or the creation of any risk assessments that may be required for the QSR/Retail Auditors.
  • Collate, document and conduct any training for individual client accounts, aligned with the KAM, Lead Auditors, where appropriate.
  • Auditing and Lead Auditor Support. (If and when required).
  • Supporting the business assurance directors, where required.
  • Aligning, and shaping the QSR/Retail strategy within the business line to retain and gain new business, and working closely with the operations, and technical directors of the business to generate new opportunities.
  • Progress opportunities within QSR/Retail within EMEA or beyond.
