Chesterfield, Derbyshire, United Kingdom Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Full time

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist to join our team of healthcare professionals at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of adults with communication and swallowing disorders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert care to patients referred to the SLT service, demonstrating high levels of clinical expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex communication and swallowing disorders. As part of the multi-disciplinary team in ENT/Head & Neck services, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

In this role, you will also provide training and supervision to less experienced therapists and SLT assistants, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care. Additionally, you will be involved in the development and implementation of education and training programs for staff members, patients, and their families.

To be successful in this position, you must have a recognized degree in SLT, RCSLT membership, and HCPC registration. Experience working within the Voice/Head & Neck pathway in the acute setting is essential, as is evidence of delivering teaching/training. A strong understanding of professional standards and policies, including Fire, COSHH, No Smoking, and Alcohol, is also required.

This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary range of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of adults with communication and swallowing disorders, we encourage you to apply.
