Headway Norfolk and Waveney is a dynamic and impactful charity dedicated to empowering brain injury survivors and their families. With a strong track record of delivering services and support to those in need, the organisation is now seeking a visionary leader to take it to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic vision and leadership to the operation and development of Headway Norfolk and Waveney.
  • Ensure the charitable purposes of Headway Norfolk and Waveney are followed and that it delivers the charitable benefit set out in the Headway Norfolk and Waveney strategy.
  • Take overall responsibility for Headway Norfolk and Waveney's management and administration within the governance and accountability frameworks established by the Board of Trustees.
  • Work with the Chair to enable the Trustees to fulfil their duties and legal and other responsibilities for the proper governance of Headway Norfolk and Waveney.
  • Ensure the Board receives advice, recommendations, and information in an effective, thorough, and timely manner.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have substantial experience of working at both management and strategic level, ideally within the charitable sector. They will have a proven track record of implementing an organisation's strategic vision, managing a substantial budget, and managing staff and implementing management systems and procedures.

They will also have experience of writing management reports and reporting to governance bodies, relationship building and profile raising, and working with bodies responsible for corporate governance. A good understanding of company and charity law would be desirable.
