About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paediatric Diabetes Nurse Specialist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to children and young people with diabetes.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment, contributing to the development of diabetes standards and participating in the delivery of highly specialist aspects of paediatric diabetes care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Consultants, Endocrinologists, Dietitians, and Clinical Psychologists to provide expert management of complex diabetes cases.
  • Contribute to the development of diabetes standards and policies.
  • Ensure that the aims and objectives of the Paediatric Diabetes service are delivered and implemented to continually improve the standard of care that children receive.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Registered Sick Children's Nurse or Registered RN (Child) qualification.
  • Relevant first degree or equivalent.
  • Mentorship Course or equivalent.
  • Up-to-date registration with the NMC.
  • Experience of delivering teaching/education.
