About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at Hastings Hotels, a family-owned luxury hotel group based in Northern Ireland. As a Plumber, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the hotel's mechanical equipment, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and maintain all mechanical equipment in conjunction with our planned maintenance system
  • Monitor and repair boiler house plant, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
  • Responsible for chemical treatment of cold water storage, heating, and chilled water services, maintaining accurate records
  • Perform repairs, additions, or alterations to plumbing services within the hotel, adhering to safety standards
  • Conduct minor metal fabrication work as required, ensuring high-quality results
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a harmonious working environment, promoting respect and dignity
  • Ensure a safe environment is maintained, complying with health, safety, fire, hygiene, and security legislation and company policies
  • Protect guest property and storage areas, reporting any breaches immediately
  • Use equipment correctly and safely, following set procedures, and minimize breakages

Requirements:

  • Approved plumbing experience in commercial buildings
  • Educated to GCSE Standard or equivalent, including English and Maths
  • Excellent communication, numeracy, and IT skills
  • Smart, well-groomed appearance
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
  • Right to work within the United Kingdom
