About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Engineer to join our team at Quilter. As a Lead Data Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our Data Platform and driving the development of our data services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of our Data Platform, ensuring it meets the needs of our business and customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data ingestion, storage, processing, and integration solutions through Quilter's Azure Data Platform.
  • Support the migration of existing legacy solutions onto the Quilter strategic data platform.
  • Contribute to the adoption of a standard data solution methodology across the organisation.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in Azure Data Services, including Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft BI, including SSAS, SSRS, Power BI, and other Power Platform tools.
  • Experience with SQL, including T-SQL, queries, views, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Integration and ETL design and delivery experience, including SSIS and Azure Data Factory.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data visualisation tools, such as Tableau, QlikView, Power BI, and Business Objects.
  • Experience with developing analytical use cases using Spark programming in Python and one other language, such as R or Scala.
