Key Responsibilities- Lead the commercial management of projects, ensuring that contractual terms are understood and contractual events are properly managed.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to ensure the successful delivery of projects, including the management of contractual variations and change events.
- Provide authoritative technical and professional advice on commercial matters, including procurement and supply chain management.
- Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that commercial information and communications with clients are aligned with project governance and contractual requirements.
- Manage and coordinate the commercial aspects of projects, including the preparation of contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licenses.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders to ensure that commercial interests are protected and that projects are delivered successfully.
- Provide commercial reports and updates to stakeholders, including project managers, clients, and senior management.
- Extensive experience in commercial management, preferably in a regulated environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing commercial teams and functions.
- Strong technical and professional knowledge of commercial management, including NEC4 contracts and CEMAR.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
- Professional membership or working towards, such as MRICS/RICS, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
