Our client, a leading financial services company, is seeking an experienced Interim Accounts Payable Manager to join their team on a 6-month contract. The role has the potential to be extended longer term.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Accounts Payable and will be responsible for overseeing a team of 2 assistants to ensure the smooth delivery of the Accounts Payable function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement and Operational Support:
    • Manage the purchase order workflow to ensure timely and accurate processing.
    • On-board new suppliers and ensure they are set up correctly in the system.
    • Resolve issues identified during purchase order to invoice matching controls.
    • Coding and processing of invoices.
    • Data integrity and cleansing activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Liaise with cross-functional teams to gather inputs for the month-end close process.
    • Support the wider finance operations team with AP-related activities during the month-end close process.
  • Audit Support:
    • Provide timely and accurate information to the Group auditors as requested.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable, with a strong understanding of month-end related activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a team and work with cross-functional teams.
  • A motivated and energetic individual who is able to push boundaries to achieve results.
  • Ability to manage the workload with minimal direction and supervision.
