Temporary AP Manager

Our client, a leading financial services company, is seeking an experienced Interim Accounts Payable Manager to join their team on a 6-month contract. The role has the potential to be extended longer term.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Accounts Payable and will be responsible for overseeing a team of 2 assistants to ensure the smooth delivery of the Accounts Payable function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement and Operational Support:
- Manage the purchase order workflow to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- On-board new suppliers and ensure they are set up correctly in the system.
- Resolve issues identified during purchase order to invoice matching controls.
- Coding and processing of invoices.
- Data integrity and cleansing activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Financial Reporting:
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to gather inputs for the month-end close process.
- Support the wider finance operations team with AP-related activities during the month-end close process.
- Audit Support:
- Provide timely and accurate information to the Group auditors as requested.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable, with a strong understanding of month-end related activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a team and work with cross-functional teams.
- A motivated and energetic individual who is able to push boundaries to achieve results.
- Ability to manage the workload with minimal direction and supervision.
