Ophthalmic Theatre Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ophthalmic Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Newmedica Leicester Eye Hospital & Surgical Centre. As a key member of our theatre team, you will be responsible for providing a high level of care to patients undergoing eye surgery.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing a competent scrub provision, supporting the surgeon through the daily theatre list
- Anticipating and resolving any potential problems that may arise during surgery
- Ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, clinical compliance, and hygiene levels are maintained
- Managing clinical waste and ensuring correct disposal procedures are implemented
- Undertaking medicine management and audit duties, as well as maintaining accurate patient records
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in ophthalmic nursing or operating department practice, with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
