Children's Residential Manager

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic leader looking to make a difference in the lives of children? We are seeking a Children's Residential Manager to oversee the daily operations of our children's residential homes and lead a team of support staff in providing high-quality care and safeguarding for children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and welfare for all children.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the children's residential home in accordance with OFSTED standards.
  • Foster a positive working environment through training and supervision, inspiring and leading a team of staff to provide coaching, mentoring, and support for professional development.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans that meet the individual needs of the children.
  • Work closely with external agencies, families, and professionals for comprehensive care.
  • Maintain all necessary records and documentation in compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided and take action to achieve continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Relevant social care qualification, ideally Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
  • At least two years of experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children within the last five years.
  • Experience in managing staff working in a care role, with at least one year of supervision and management experience.
  • OFSTED registration.
  • Proven experience managing EBD homes or similar settings.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, including OFSTED standards and legislation relating to children's care.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and staff effectively.
