Main Responsibilities

As a Commissioning Engineer with WGM Engineering Ltd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth commissioning of electrical systems. Your primary duties will include:

  • Collaborating with project managers and engineers to develop and update commissioning plans.
  • Reviewing and implementing sub-contractor commissioning plans to ensure seamless integration.
  • Providing support to project teams and ensuring compliance with electrical safety rules.
  • Administering permits to work and overseeing electrical safety protocols.
  • Coordinating commissioning activities and resource allocation to deliver commissioned plant and equipment.
  • Attending factory acceptance tests and commissioning meetings.
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of commissioning tasks.
  • Preparing commissioning documentation and reports in line with client specifications.
  • Communicating progress updates and issues to the commissioning manager and project manager.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar commissioning role.
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical wiring requirements and regulations.
  • Understanding of NEC3 Construction & Engineering Contracts.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • A valid driving license for site visits.
