Job Summary

The HSEQ Training Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the HSEQ Manager in the coordination of the Fleet Training and Audit program. This involves providing assistance to the Senior Fleet Training Officer in coordinating the fleet training and audit processes to deliver the program successfully in accordance with company requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Health, Safety, Security, and Environment are top priorities.
  2. Drive Operational Leadership in HSEQ matters in line with Teekay SPIRIT values.
  3. Support the implementation of the Fleet Training and Audit Program.
  4. Manage and maintain all internal training reports carried out in the Fleet and keep the Fleet Training profile updated.
  5. Send training reports to the responsible Vessel Manager and HSEQ Superintendent as soon as completed and confirm they have read the reports.
  6. Maintain a register of vessel specific training needs and focus areas as identified by HSEQ Manager/Superintendents and Fleet Training Officers.
  7. Maintain and update the Fleet training records and KPIs.
  8. Maintain and upkeep of the HSEQ training library and folder structure. Work with Fleet Training Officers and HSEQ Superintendents on collation of company training materials.
  9. Monitor status of all open audit findings and notify HSEQ Superintendents of the same. Advise HSEQ Manager on actions nearing deadlines and or any overdue items.
  10. Collate Fleet Best Practices from the Fleet Training Officers and assist with preparing the Fleet Best Practice Bulletins.
  11. Prepare Quarterly training summary reports for the Gas Fleet.
  12. Collate feedback from the Fleet on any specific training needs, surveys and assist with Fleet Training Officers onboard training evaluations. Proactively work with other departments to collate any specific training requests for a particular vessel.
  13. Follow up and monitor the progress of all outstanding actions arising from any significant investigation reports carried out by Senior Fleet Training Officer/Fleet Training Officers.
  14. Maintain training registers for ERT and Incident Investigation training carried out internally.
  15. Maintain Incident Investigation Experience and Competency Matrix.
  16. Support coordination and planning of any Fleet training seminars for the Gas Fleet.
  17. Act as a point of contact for the Fleet Training Officers to support the delivery of the Fleet Training and Audit Program.
  18. A member of the ERT Team. Provide administrative support to the ERT.
  19. Any other duties that are appropriate to the position and as deemed necessary by the HSEQ Manager.
  20. Work closely with all members of the HSEQ Team in support of an effective implementation of the Fleet Training and Audit Program.
