Consultant Haematologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Haematologist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Haematologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our Haematology service.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to develop your clinical skills, lead a team, and contribute to the growth and development of our Haematology service. You will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including medical oncologists, clinical oncologists, and haematology consultants, to provide comprehensive care to patients with blood disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of blood disorders
- Lead a team of healthcare professionals, including junior doctors, nurses, and other support staff
- Contribute to the development of our Haematology service, including service improvement initiatives and quality assurance
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans for patients with blood disorders
- Provide teaching and training to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
- Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC
- Higher degree in a relevant field
