About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. As a Haematology Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Haematology and Oncology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver chemotherapy treatments to patients in line with Trust guidelines, ensuring safe and effective care.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to patients, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and carers, providing support and guidance throughout their treatment journey.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in Haematology and Oncology.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, ensuring that patient care is delivered in accordance with Trust standards.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
  • Experience in Haematology or Oncology, or a willingness to learn and develop your skills in these areas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
