Job Overview

Whittington Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologist to join their team as a Breast Radiology Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality radiology services, including breast imaging and reporting, to patients at the Whittington Health NHS Trust.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Provide expert radiology services, including breast imaging and reporting, to patients at the Whittington Health NHS Trust.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of radiology services, including breast imaging and reporting.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to the education and training of radiology staff.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives.
Person Specification
  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent.
  • Possession of CCT in Radiology or within 6 months of application for CCST general radiology.
  • Demonstrate experience in cross-sectional imaging and have training to ST4-5 Breast subspecialty training (level 2).
  • Demonstrate experience of participating in on-call rota.
Skills and Abilities
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to develop, present and implement coherent ideas for service development.
  • Ability to develop multidisciplinary team working.
Teaching
  • Experience and interest in undergraduate teaching.
  • Skill and ability in formal and informal teaching for both under- and post-graduate students/staff.
Research
  • Willingness to participate in research.
  • Evidence of sustained participation in audit.
Personal and Professional Qualities
  • Commitment to medical education.
  • Commitment to effective liaison and collaboration with Primary Care.
  • Prepared to work in support of the overall aims of the Trust and Imaging Department.
