Senior Residential Childcare Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Childcare Worker & Portfolio Lead to join our team at Salford City Council. As a key member of our Residential Childcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to young people in our care, while also leading and mentoring a team of residential childcare workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic care and support to young people in our care, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs and circumstances.
- Lead and mentor a team of residential childcare workers, promoting best practices and a therapeutic approach to daily interactions.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure comprehensive, holistic care that supports all aspects of a child's development.
- Help foster a safe, inviting home atmosphere where every child can thrive.
Requirements:
We are looking for someone with a solid background in residential childcare, with hands-on experience in supporting managing the complexities of a children's home. You will bring a deep-seated passion for using therapeutic approaches in the care of young people. Holding a Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential.
