We're seeking a talented Principal Design Engineer or Senior Design Engineer to join our Smart Infrastructure Division at Siemens plc.

About the Role

As a Principal Design Engineer or Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering transmission and distribution protection and control systems to our end-customers. You will provide pre-sales support to our sales and proposal teams and work closely with the project manager and commercial team to ensure projects are delivered on target and within scope.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide innovative solutions as technical lead for protection and control on UK Transmission and Distribution network.
  • Ensure that Siemens solutions are compliant with the latest policies and standards.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to clients and maintain the highest standards of quality.
  • Sound problem-solving skills, fault-finding skills, and analytical thinking.
  • Provide technical input for Sales and Proposals departments.
Requirements
  • Experience of National Grid delivery and specifications/standards are essential.
  • A minimum qualification of HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering plus extensive experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Industry.
