About the Role

As a Principal Design Engineer or Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering transmission and distribution protection and control systems to our end-customers. You will work closely with our sales and proposal teams to provide pre-sales support and technical input for sales and proposals departments. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that Siemens solutions are compliant with the latest policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver transmission and distribution protection and control systems to our end-customers
  • Provide pre-sales support to our sales and proposal teams
  • Support the project manager and commercial team to deliver projects on target and within scope
  • Provide innovative solutions as technical lead for protection and control on UK Transmission and Distribution network
  • Ensure that Siemens solutions are compliant with the latest policies and standards
Requirements
  • Experience of National Grid delivery and specifications/standards are essential
  • A minimum qualification of HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering plus extensive experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Industry
