Occupational Therapist for Meadowcroft School

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our team at Meadowcroft School in West Yorkshire. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for implementing a holistic, therapeutic, and dynamic approach to supporting our pupils in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out standardized and non-standardized assessments to identify the occupational and sensory needs of our pupils.
- Develop and implement bespoke interventions to support the pupils' occupational and sensory needs.
- Prepare relevant documentation, including reports and sensory profiles, to support the pupils' needs.
- Provide information and training to staff, commissioners, and other agencies as required.
Requirements
- Occupational Therapy BSc (Hons) degree.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience of working with adults and/or children who have an intellectual disability and/or autism with additional needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of key partners.
- Able to work sensitively with people and resolve conflict effectively.
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting.
- Substantial and relevant post-qualification experience with children and young people.
- Experience of lecturing/teaching/training.
- Skills in the management of data, including collecting and analyzing data to inform service delivery, development, and project work.
- Experience of working with or qualification in sensory integration.
- Experience of supervision and training of staff.
- Full valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary, up to £53,000, dependent on experience, pro rata, plus a £3000 welcome bonus. We also offer a 37.5-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 16:30pm, with a permanent, term-time only contract. We provide a £2000 training allowance to support your continued professional development and a range of benefits, including life assurance, pension scheme, and flexible benefits platform.
