At Leigh Academies Trust, we are dedicated to creating a culture of inclusivity and support for all students, especially those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We seek an experienced and qualified Assistant Principal - SENCO to join our team and take on the crucial role of SENCO.

About the Role

We value every student's unique learning needs and experiences. Our goal is to provide equal opportunities for all students, removing barriers to learning and ensuring that every student thrives and grows in confidence. To achieve this, we have implemented a digital curriculum, which includes Chromebooks for students and a team of dedicated teaching assistants. Our SENCO will need to work closely with our SE London and Kent teams to ensure we are doing the best for our most vulnerable students.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated and inspirational leader with a track record of success at secondary level. They will be able to develop children to reach their full potential, regardless of background or circumstance. If you are committed to changing the education world and are passionate about supporting students with SEND, we encourage you to apply.

- Develop and implement a high-quality intervention program for students with SEND
- Work closely with the Principal, Academy Leadership Team, and the SEN department to ensure effective support for students with SEND
- Establish and develop excellent relationships with the community and other stakeholders
- Implement a flexible and inclusive approach to teaching and learning for students with SEND
