The Senior Procurement Manager position at QTS Data Centers presents a unique opportunity to lead strategic procurement initiatives that drive business growth and excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, budgeting, and executing procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.



Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing:

The Senior Procurement Manager will lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic sourcing plans that reduce costs, improve quality, and increase efficiency. This will involve analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities for improvement, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop and execute sourcing strategies.



Supply Chain Management:

The successful candidate will oversee the management of supply chains, ensuring that materials and services are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner. This will involve managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.



Category Management:

The Senior Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing categories of spend, ensuring that procurement strategies are aligned with business objectives. This will involve analyzing spend data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing and executing category management plans.



Team Leadership:

The successful candidate will lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities. This will involve mentoring, coaching, and evaluating team members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in their roles.



Communication and Collaboration:

The Senior Procurement Manager will serve as a key liaison between procurement and other business functions, ensuring that procurement strategies are aligned with business objectives. This will involve communicating effectively with stakeholders, building relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business outcomes.



The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, along with 7-10 years of experience in procurement or a related field. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and drive business outcomes. Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field
  • 7-10 years of experience in procurement or a related field
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to drive business outcomes


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 5 or more years of direct experience in global supply chain management, project management, category management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and vendor management in variety of categories
  • Direct experiences in the following categories: Facility Management, Critical Electrical and Mechanical Equipment, Construction Design and Construction, and Professional Services
  • 5 or more years of experience leading team
  • Experienced in data center construction


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Experience in managing and leading change initiatives involving significant impacts to organization
  • Experience developing long range sourcing plans for assigned categories to reduce total costs, optimize value from suppliers, and meet internal customer requirements
  • Demonstrated company-wide procurement leadership experience within one or more indirect categories or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
  • Experience in contract development, execution, and management
  • Skilled in building relationships with key stakeholders to gather category requirements, specifications from departments, and category subject matter experts
  • Ability to resolve conflict and solve problems
