We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sister/Charge Nurse to lead our team of Healthcare Assistants and Donor Care Supervisors in providing exceptional care to our donors. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe assessment and blood donation of our donors, while maintaining a high standard of personal care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Take clinical responsibility for ensuring the safe assessment and blood donation of our donors.
  • Be accountable for the safe running of a blood donation session.

  • Maintain the competency and skills of your team and yourself.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with leadership qualities and a strong understanding of best practice to deliver high-quality care. You will have experience of supporting the professional development of others, as well as an understanding of clinical audit and research. You will also have experience of working with Information Technology, such as hand-held devices and Microsoft Office packages.

You will be a Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration, and have a valid driving licence and access to a car. You will be able to demonstrate the personal attributes required for the role, as outlined in the attached recruitment profile.
