Collections and House Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Collections and House Manager to join our portfolio team at Ormesby Hall & Nunnington Hall.
This is a unique opportunity to lead the strategic planning and day-to-day care of the key buildings and collections, working collaboratively with internal colleagues and specialists to ensure the highest standards of conservation, care, and presentation of the collections and interiors.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Museum Accreditation (Spectrum) standards, collections care, and conservation, as well as experience in managing collections management systems and museum operations.
Key responsibilities will include managing the Collections Management Systems, Museum Accreditation requirements, and the day-to-day care and operation of the house, including being on the Duty Manager rota and working regular weekends.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional who can lead our team and contribute to the delivery of an engaging visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the strategic planning and day-to-day care of the key buildings and collections.
- Work collaboratively with internal colleagues and specialists to ensure the highest standards of conservation, care, and presentation of the collections and interiors.
- Manage the Collections Management Systems and Museum Accreditation requirements.
- Be responsible for the day-to-day care and operation of the house, including being on the Duty Manager rota and working regular weekends.
