Collections and House Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Collections and House Manager to join our portfolio team at Ormesby Hall & Nunnington Hall. This is a unique opportunity to lead the strategic planning and day-to-day care of the key buildings and collections, ensuring the highest standards of conservation, care, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the collections management systems and museum accreditation requirements.
- Work collaboratively with internal colleagues and specialists to ensure the highest standards of conservation, care, and presentation.
- Develop and implement strategies for the care and operation of the house and collections.
- Manage the collections and property teams, including volunteers and staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety and emergency procedures.
- Manage budgets, finances, small projects, and contracts.
- Collections management experience in a museum or historic property environment.
- Understanding of museum accreditation standards, collections care, and conservation.
- Strong understanding and good practice of preventive conservation.
- Leadership skills, including coaching, team development, motivation, and communication.
- Experience of working with volunteers and managing compliance, health and safety, and emergency procedures.
- Proven track record of managing budgets, finances, small projects, and contracts.
