Job Description

We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our IT team at our Rugby site. As a Business Analyst, you will design, develop, and implement Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transport Management Systems (TMS) and enhance existing systems to support operational efficiencies and improvements through effective business analysis and system design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution, to identify areas for improvement and cost optimization.
  • Gather and analyze data from various sources, such as ERP systems, logistics software, and industry reports, to provide actionable insights and recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with overall logistics objectives and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure logistics performance and track progress towards operational goals.
  • Prepare and present data-driven reports, visualizations, and dashboards to communicate findings and support decision-making at various levels of the organization.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in logistics, and recommend relevant innovations for adoption.
  • Support the implementation and testing of new systems or process changes, collaborating with IT and operational teams to ensure successful deployment.
Requirements
  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the logistics or supply chain industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and derive meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Excel, or data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution processes.
  • Knowledge of logistics systems and software (e.g., WMS, TMS).
