Quantity Surveyor Role
We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our High Security and Safety Group based in Portobello, Willenhall, United Kingdom. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing all contractual and commercial aspects of allocated projects, ensuring maximum revenue and profit for each contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the tendering and negotiation process through commercial experience, contractual understanding, and risk management strategy
- Evaluate proposed customer contract terms to determine risk and opportunity, and support the negotiation process to achieve favourable change to terms where possible
- Generate, control, and monitor project budgets in conjunction with the Contracts Manager
- Identify, evaluate, and agree additional charges for work required or undertaken that are outside the prescribed and agreed scope of works or contracted terms to maximise sales revenue and profitability
- Prepare and submit interim payment applications for completed works in a timely and professional manner in accordance with the contractual obligations of each project
Requirements:
- Qualified Quantity Surveyor
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a qualified Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, preferably working as a sub-contractor QS
- Experience in using online project management packages such as Viewpoint, Bravo, Conject, etc.
- Post-contract cost control experience
- Experience with tendering an advantage
