Unlock Your Potential as a Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our High Security and Safety Group based in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all contractual and commercial aspects of allocated projects, ensuring maximum revenue and profit for each contract.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Support the tendering and negotiation process through commercial experience, contractual understanding, and risk management strategy
- Evaluate proposed customer contract terms to determine risk and opportunity, and support the negotiation process to achieve favourable change to terms where possible
- Generate, control, and monitor project budgets in conjunction with the Contracts Manager
- Identify, evaluate, and agree additional charges for work required or undertaken that are outside the prescribed and agreed scope of works or contracted terms to maximise sales revenue and profitability
- Prepare and submit interim payment applications for completed works in a timely and professional manner in accordance with the contractual obligations of each project
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a qualified Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the construction industry, preferably working as a sub-contractor QS. You should have experience in using online project management packages, post-contract cost control experience, and a strong understanding of tendering processes.
