Quantity Surveyor

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all contractual and commercial aspects of allocated construction projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a large private sector client and contribute to the growth and success of their thriving team.
Key Responsibilities- Support tendering and negotiation processes using your commercial experience.
- Generate, control, and oversee project budgets, working closely with the Contracts Manager.
- Evaluate customer contract terms to determine potential risks or opportunities, supporting re-negotiation when possible.
- Agree additional charges for work outside of the agreed scope to maximize potential opportunity.
- Track changes to the design or construction work, while constantly monitoring budget.
To succeed in this role, you will require experience working in a Quantity Surveyor role within the construction industry, specifically with doors/door fitting, access solutions, or a similar industry (fenestration, tec). You will also need to be a Qualified QS, with the ability to reference times you have led projects of varying size from inception to completion. Additionally, you should hold a full UK Driving Licence and be happy to pass a security check ahead of employment.
