About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Pennine Care NHS FT. The successful candidate will support the delivery of a mental health and therapy service to children, young people, and families in Heywood, Middleton, and Rochdale.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the clinical psychologists in the team to deliver an evidence-based, empathic, and effective service.
  • Contribute to the delivery of neurodevelopmental assessment pathways, including supporting mental health and psychological assessments and care plans.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement service improvement projects.
  • Support the development of therapeutic and information resources.
  • Contribute to teamwork through reflective practice, team meetings, peer supervision, and training.

Person Specification

  • Upper second-class honours degree or higher in psychology.
  • Entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
  • Experience as a Psychology Assistant.
  • Knowledge of child development and psychology applied to healthcare.
