Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Wrightbus. As an expert in vehicle electrical systems, you will be responsible for the installation and testing of chassis and body electrical control systems according to customer specifications, maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comply with company health and safety policy and procedures.
  • Ensure work meets Wrightbus quality standards.
  • Install and modify vehicle wiring harnesses and components.
  • Terminate various automotive and high voltage connections up to 800V AC or DC.
  • Test and commission vehicle electrical systems according to Quality Assurance documentation.
  • Fault find and repair vehicle electrical systems using bespoke diagnostic software.
  • Complete installations within allocated process time.
  • Work overtime as requested by management.
  • Undertake training and retraining as required.
Requirements:
  • Time served as an automotive, domestic, or industrial electrician.
  • Experience working on systems up to 600V AC or DC.
  • Reading wiring diagrams.
  • Routing and connecting various cable types.
  • BASIC fault-finding techniques.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Awareness of general health and safety rules.
