Job Summary

Manual Handling Facilitator - 27 hours per week

Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Manual Handling Facilitator to join our Clinical Training Team. As a Manual Handling Facilitator, you will play a crucial role in delivering and monitoring programmes of manual handling education and training to all disciplines and grades of staff within the Trust.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience as a Manual Handling Key Trainer, be capable of working without direct supervision, and ensure a high standard of care for all patients by effective manual handling and promotion of best practice for clinical and non-clinical staff.

Main Duties of the Job

Support the manual handling officer in the design, delivery, and evaluation of manual handling programmes, including induction in relation to safe moving and handling, in accordance with Trust and national priorities.

Deliver manual handling and associated equipment training and basic life support training in line with the Trust training plans and according to Trust requirements.

Actively maintain a professional manual handling and equipment advisory service across the Trust, providing specialist advice for all clinical and non-clinical staff as required.

Assist with the promotion of a healthy workplace by educating staff and implementing change to minimize the risk of injury from the moving and handling of loads and people, static postures, and repetitive activities.
