About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a key role in providing clinical and professional input to the delivery of clinical pharmacy services across our acute sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional and clinical input to the delivery of clinical pharmacy services, undertaking a wide range of duties.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of medicines use by inputting to clinical governance and risk reduction activities.
  • Participate in clinical audit and practice development activities.
  • Assume statutory professional responsibility whilst working in the dispensary.
  • Role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Vocational masters degree in pharmacy (or equivalent).
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Demonstration of competence at pre-registration level.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development to at least meet the mandatory requirements of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • IT skills to at least ECDL standard or equivalent experience.

Desirable

  • Membership of Royal Pharmaceutical Society or groups to assist personal and professional development.
