Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical and professional input as a member of a team of pharmacy staff involved in the delivery of clinical pharmacy services. This will involve undertaking a wide range of duties, including contributing to the continuous improvement of medicines use, participating in clinical audit and practice development activities, and role modeling compassionate and inclusive leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional and clinical input as a member of a team of pharmacy staff involved in the delivery of clinical pharmacy services.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of medicines use by inputting to clinical governance and risk reduction activities.
  • Participate in clinical audit and practice development activities.
  • Role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a vocational masters degree in pharmacy, be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council, and have demonstrated competence at pre-registration level. They will also have evidence of continuing professional development to at least meet the mandatory requirements of the General Pharmaceutical Council, and IT skills to at least ECDL standard or equivalent experience.

Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society or groups to assist personal and professional development is desirable.
