Job Purpose

The CareTech Group is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team. As a key member of the Finance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced finance professional to take on a challenging role and make a real impact on the business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the delivery of R2R process improvements projects, driving change and innovation within the business.
  2. Work closely with senior management to develop and implement reporting processes, controls, and systems that meet the needs of the business.
  3. Review and reconcile month-end balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group policies.
  4. Support the preparation of financial information for the Executive Board and Senior Leadership Team, providing timely and accurate insights to inform business decisions.
  5. Develop and deliver meaningful variance analysis, enabling stakeholders to understand business performance and make informed decisions.
  6. Provide operational finance support to the wider business, ensuring that financial needs are met and that the business operates efficiently.
  7. Manage day-to-day relationships within the team, providing guidance and support to junior staff members.
  8. Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies and procedures.
  9. Assist with external audit queries and year-end processes, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualified accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar).
  • Clear examples of managing and delivering change, with a proven track record of success.
  • Previous line management experience and a background in developing staff.
  • Proven experience of data manipulation and modelling using SQL, Excel, and other tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the Board and non-financial stakeholders.
  • A self-starter with the ability to identify issues and use initiative to solve problems.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
