We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our Central Finance team at Stobart. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring finance professional to build on their experience and develop new skills in a dynamic and fast-paced team. You will have the chance to work with a market leader and contribute to the success of our £600m business.
The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and be able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports for central overhead cost centres, including profit and loss and balance sheet reporting.
- Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems and maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring actual performance against budgets.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative duties, including managing the central mailbox and responding to queries from the wider business.
- GCSEs including Maths and English at grade 5 or above.
- AAT Level 4 or equivalent.
- Part qualified CIMA/ACCA preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Full UK Driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
