About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to work in a small children's home, providing responsive care and support to children and young people with complex emotional and social needs. As a Residential Children's Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering 24/7 care, addressing the physical, emotional, and social needs of the children and young people in your care.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality care, support, and guidance to children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Build positive relationships with children and young people, based on respect, empathy, and understanding.
- Collaborate with professionals, families, and agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children and young people in your care.
- Develop and maintain care plans, administer medication, and ensure access to healthcare services.
- Arrange and attend appointments, transport children, and encourage community involvement.
- Must be 21+ and pass a DBS check due to safeguarding responsibilities.
- Hold a driver's license with access to own vehicle.
- Willingness to work towards Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent, if not already completed.
- Willingness to undertake further training.
- Experience of working with vulnerable children and their families.
- Ability to establish good working relationships with children and young people based on respect and openness.
